Way to Recover Deleted Items from Google Drive
If you accidentally or deliberately delete some files from Google Drive recently that you want to recover then you are able to do it yourself. When you delete something from Google Drive then an alert Windows pop-up stating that the file will be deleted permanently after 30 days. So there is a chance for you to recover this deleted item. If you permanently delete the item from the trash then there is no way to restore them. Follow these steps to recover deleted photos, videos, and files from Google Drive:
Step 1: Open the Google Drive application on your phone or your computer and navigate to the “Trash” Folder.
Note: If you are using mobile then tap on the hamburger menu on the left corner where you can easily find the Trash folder. In the case of the Computer, You can visit here. Alternatively, type Google Dive trash on the search engine and open the very first link that appears on the screen.
Step 2: When the trash folder opens, click on the required files you need to recover and right-click on it on the computer. After this, a popup opens with 2 options i.e. Restore and Delete Permanently. In the case of a mobile phone, you need to click on the three-dotted button.
Step 3: Click on the Restore button to recover the deleted files. If you want to delete the item permanently then choose another option.
The file will reappear in its original location.
Google states that if you recover, delete or permanently delete multiple files then it may take time to show the changes. How to Restore Erased Photos from Google Photos
Google Photos offer 60 days time span to recover deleted items from the trash. To recover deleted photos and videos from Google Photos before the time span ended, follow the steps given below:
Step 1: On Android Phones, open the Google Photos Application.
Step 2: Now you can see 4 options at the bottom i.e. Photos, Search, Sharing, and Library. Tap on the Library tab.
Step 3: You will then find Bin or Trash folder on the top. Tap on Bin/Trash folder to see all your deleted items.
Step 4: After that touch and hold the photo you want to recover. Finally, tap on the restore button present at the bottom.
If you don’t see any deleted items then there are the following possible reasons for this:
It means you delete the item more than 60 days ago.
There is a possibility, that you emptied your bin/trash folder.
There are chances that you permanently delete the file from the gallery without backing it up first.
