Working Steps for knowing How to Convert MBOX Files to Other File Extension

After installing the MBOX Export Tool, Launch it on your Computer Screen then follow the given steps –

As it is launched on your desktop, it will be shown as –


Step 1

Now you will get two options: “Add file” and “Add folder” to browse your MBOX files or folder from your saving location.


Step 2

Now select or deselect MBOX files accordingly. Select MBOX files which you need to export into different file formats and make use of Preview feature to read MBOX emails. Click on Export button to continue.


Step 3

After clicking on Export button, a new Window will appear with different options carrying sub options, continue the process as per requirement.


For PST & NSF Format -

After choosing PST and NSF as a saving file format, the software will appear two sub-options i.e. Create Separate File which will create output file for each MBOX file and Split File that split output files in MB and GB.


For PDF extension –

After clicking on Convert button to start conversion for PDF then a new Window is opened there and following multiple options will be shown –

  • Saving PDF – This Option will help you to save separate PDF Files for each email or Single PDF for all emails. Choose any one option in which you want to save PDF files.
  • Attachments – There are two options available 1. To save emails embed Attachments in PDF. 2. To save attachments in separated folder from PDF.
  • File Naming Options – Choose any one option, which suits your requirements, to save files.


For EML & EMLX, MSG, DOC, XPS, MHT, HTML, RTF, Zimbra, NSF (Lotus Notes) & Office 365-

After you choose EML, EMLX, MSG, DOC, XPS, MHT, HTML, RTF, Zimbra, NSF & Office 365 format for EML file conversion, the tool will provide different naming conventions to save the resultant file accordingly:

  • File Naming Options – There are multiple file naming options available, so choose any one which suits you best. Then Click on OK button.


For Office 365 –

If you want to export MBOX files into Office 365, then make sure to have credentials of Office 365 in hand. The tool will ask to fill or enter the login credentials and file naming options and then automatically convert and send all the output converted file in Office 365 cloud database.


After choosing the desired options, click on Browse button and choose saving location where you want to save converted files. You can choose the existing folder or create a new folder to save the output files.


Then the Software will complete the conversion process within few minutes and after completion, a message Window will appear showing Successful conversion.
